Our Next Sale ~ About Us

We are proud to be a family owned business of 40+ years! Eight years ago my uncle, Our Next Sale’s prior owner decided to move up North. I would always help my uncle set up and work the days of the sale. When Earl and I first got married he would always stop by to visit us during the sale. Earl over heard my uncle telling some of the regular’s (followers) that he was moving. He asked my uncle what was the plan with the business? At that time Earl and I decided to take over our family business.

Since then we have added the cleanout service. This is Earl’s passion. He currently works for Chrysler but has a great passion with helping people in need. I also work for Platinum Care Home Health Services, Owning our Next Sale allows my experience with seniors and losing loved ones has allowed me to display my compassion for someone in need at a venerable time. We consider ourselves “one stop shop”.

“Judy” is the mother of the business. My mother retired from STEP, (Services To Enhance Potential) and helps out with all our pricing and working the sale days. She is firm but compassionate when dealing with the customers. We have a following that just comes to see her.

Her moto is “how would you feel if this was your mothers stuff” She will tell a customer we are here to make our customers money, not give their things away.

Our Next Sale has a wonderful partnership with STEP (Services To Enhance Potential) beginning with my mothers 25 year career with them. STEP is an non-profit organization which provides supports and services to nearly 1,300 persons with disabilities and other mental health needs in Wayne County. Our Next Sale is honored to work with and train the wonderful people through STEP. Their staff helps Earl with almost every clean-out we do. We also donate all of the estate sale items that don’t sell at our events.

The STEP team has really done a lot for our business and it is Earl’s hope that we are giving back to them as much as they are helping us!
